In Microsoft Project, if you create a task by dragging on the Calendar or the Gantt Chart, and you start dragging on a nonworking day and stop dragging on a nonworking day, the task is created as a milestone.
WORKAROUND
To avoid creating a milestone task when you create a task by dragging on a
view, do either of the following:
MORE INFORMATIONPlanningWizards do not appear when you edit your project in the Calendar view. Because of this, when you format and edit your project in this view, you receive the same results as when you format and edit your project in the Gantt Chart view with the PlanningWizards turned off.
