Works: Printing Envelopes on a Dot-Matrix Printer (111932)
The information in this article applies to:
This article was previously published under Q111932 SUMMARY
When an envelope is created in Works 3.0 and a dot-matrix printer is
selected as the active printer, the page size and orientation are
determined as follows:
- For supported envelope sizes (those listed in the Page Size list
box in Page Setup), Works gets the page size and orientation from
the driver.
- For unsupported sizes, if Tractor is the paper source, Works will
create a custom page size and default to a portrait orientation.
MORE INFORMATION
Some dot-matrix printers will print supported size envelopes in
landscape and all unsupported sizes in portrait. An example of this
scenario is the Panasonic KX-P 1124i. The only supported envelope size
for this printer is 10 and it is fed in left side first. All other
unsupported sizes are fed in top first on this printer.
