SUMMARY

When using Kermit as the download protocol for file transfer, the bytes- received counter may not display the correct number.

MORE INFORMATION

Downloading files using the Kermit protocol will result in more bytes being counted than are actually received. This does not happen when uploading a file using the Kermit protocol.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Works for Windows, version 3.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
