SUMMARY

On your screen, space between lines of text surrounding an absolute positioned object (APO) may be larger or smaller than normal. This is due to rounding errors that occur when Works calculates the position of the APO.

This behavior is most noticeable with smaller fonts; however, it only occurs on your display. The printed output will have accurate line spacing between all lines of text surrounding the APO.

MORE INFORMATION

In Works for Windows, an object can either be an APO or in-line object. APOs stay in one place on the page while the surrounding text wraps around it. When an object is in-line with other text, the spacing above and below the line containing the object increases if necessary to accommodate the object, and the object will move with the text around it.

To determine if an object is in-line or APO:

  1. Highlight the object.
  2. From the Format menu, click Picture/Object.
  3. Select the Text Wrap tab.
Either the In-Line button or the Absolute In The Wrap button will be depressed.
