May, 12, 1999 ======================================================================= Title : "Game Preserve" Game : Quake 1 Built for : DeathMatch only level Filename : exdm2.bsp Author : Carlos "excessus" Sisi Email Address : sisi@iname.com # Players suggested : 1on1 is perhaps on the slow side 4FFA -- absolutely! (DMM3 optional) I think up to 6 players fit comfortably. Additional Credits to : -Someone should promote Ben Morris for his work at Worldcraft. -Cable Hicks for Adquedit. What a fine piece of software, Mr. Hicks! -Underscore and PeeJ, for giving me early feedback and for being there, beyond the portals of my email program. -Big thanks to Paul at the MultiPlayer Quake site, for his time revieweing my previous effort. -YOU! ... thanks for playing my level :D Other Maps by author : exdm1 "melanquolia" ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/idgames2/levels/deathmatch/d-f/exdm1.zip (There´s a review of exdm1 at http://www.planetquake.com/mpq.) ======================================================================= * Other information * This level has been made with Hexen2 textures. If it suits you fine it depends on whether you like the theme or not. Good old Raymond Siah tolds me it is a meso-american set, but i dont really know... just packed a bunch of good looking textures and started to build up things. It has ALL the weapons -- hear that, Raymond? ;) The bad news are that the infamous r_speeds are a bit on the high side (as much as 800 on some critical spots) but i dont really have a clue about how to reduce this figures without sacrificing visuals -- which i dont want to. I would like to hear from you, so drop me a lines if you happen to try the level. ================================================== * Construction * Base : new map from scratch New Graphics : -Hexen2 textures -Peace&Love Inc. textures (pli.bsp) Editor used : WorldCraft 1.6 ================================================== * Hidden Section * I dont know you, but i love to read what map authors have to say in their TXT files -- the bigger, the better! So, since you are still reading this stuff i suppose you are like me. Silly, no? harharhar ================================================== * Legal mumbo-jumbo * Authors MAY use this level as a base to build additional levels. If u need the MAP source to tweak it a bit ask for it (nicely!) at my email. ;-) You are NOT allowed to commercially exploit this level, i.e. put it on a CD or any other electronic format that is sold for money without explicit permission of the author. Only general mags cover CDs and Walnut Creek CDs are allowed to distribute this way. You MAY distribute this BSP over the internet, provided you include this file, with no modifications and do NOT attempt to exploit it commercially. This map is to be distributed freely. If you paid money for it, you have been well fooled.
