If you've gone to the trouble of downloading this alpha I welcome any feedback or suggestions you may have. You can email me at jam@planetquake.com or visit the website at http://www.planetquake.com/jamdonut/ 2. Installing JamDonut ----------------------- If you have the upgrade then you need to unzip the contents of the zip file into the JamDonut installation folder (This is usually "C:\Program Files\JamDonut"). The upgrade is now installed. If you are upgrading a previous installation, you might also need the DLL upgrade. If you have the DLL upgrade you should close down all your applications and unzip the contents of the zip file into your Windows SYSTEM folder (Usually "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM"). The DLL upgrade is now installed. If you have the full installation then I recommend you uninstall any previous version first (See Uninstalling JamDonut below). Then if you have a zip file unzip this to a temporary directory - you can delete this after the application is installed. When this is done double click on the "setup.exe" file. The installation program will then start. 3. Uninstalling JamDonut ------------------------- You can uninstall JamDonut by clicking on Add-Remove Programs in the Control Panel. Select the JamDonut entry and click on the Add/Remove button. 4. Important message about alpha version ----------------------------------------- This application will contain parts that don't work. You should make a copy of any original files before saving them from JamDonut. Alternatively you can save the textures from other applications by using the clipboard functions (Copy and Paste). 5. Launching JamDonut ----------------------- You can start JamDonut by clicking on the icon in the Programs menu under the Start button. 6. Credits ----------- id Software for Quake, Quake II and Quake III Arena, PlanetQuake for hosting the JamDonut site, Valve for Half-Life, and everyone who took the time to send in suggestions or bug reports for JamDonut.
