CREATE A SIMPLE NAME *** To create a simple name for quake you have 4 inputfields "SourceText" (you have the possibility to create and modify 4 names at the same time) in the middle of the window. You can directly change these fields, for special characters you have the button on top of the window (with "SwitchTo..." you can change the character-color) or you can type text in "NormalText"-box and append/insert after... (it is possible to append/insert in "SourceText", "ScrollingText" and "AnimationSource") Every change of the "SourceText"-fields follows the corresponding preview, so you can see online how your name looks like in quake. With the buttons "SaveNameX" you can save the names in a scriptfile. *** 2. CREATE A ANIMATED NAMEN *** To create an animated script you use the bottom part of the windows. The sequence of the animation is displayed in the field "AnimationSource". You can directly type into this field. It is also possible to add names from the middle part of the windows. By pressing the "AddToAnimationSource"-switch every active "SourceText"-field (activated checkbox) will be appended to the animationlist. To create a scrolling-text you type the text in the "ScrollingText"-Field and push "AddToAnimationSource". By pushing the button "StartPreview" you can test your created script. With "LoadScript" you can load an existing script to modify it. With "SaveScript" you can save the created or modified namescript. You can view a small demo of how an animated name looks like by pressing the button "MADE BY ..." ;-). All you further have to do is to bind the script into quake with 'exec '. For animated names you bind this comand to a key, example: 'bind n "exec "' (you can add this line to the autoexec.cfg in the id1-dir).
