+------------------------------------------------------+ + + + Quake Shareware Unpacker + + + +------------------------------------------------------+ Author: stokfam@mail.psinet.net.au +------+ + How? + +------+ SwUnpack allows you to remove all or some of the objects contained within Quake's PAK file. Please note that it does not allow you to insert your own material, and the items you extract cannot be used for commercial profit. (See id Software's licence agreement). They can be used for your personal viewing/listening/hacking pleasure. When running SwUnpack you must specify the name of the PAK file to use. If you omit the .PAK on the end it will be added for you. Eg: SWUNPACK pak0 +----------+ + Options? + +----------+ If you run the program with just a PAK filename, it will list all of the objects contained within, along with their size and position inside the file. If you run with just a filename and the -e option, all of the objects will be extracted. If you run the program with a PAK file, the -e option and an object name, it will attempt to extract _just_that_object_. Which is useful if you don't want to totally clutter up your hard disk just to listen to that shotgun sound, for example. +---------------+ + Contacting Me + +---------------+ Keep your eyes open for a program called the "Quake Desktop" in the near future.
