~*SHAMBLER GRENADES v.09*~ Name: Shambler Grenades v0.9 Author: Eric J. Fikus [BR]GoCubs E-mail: gocubs1@aol.com Home Page: http://www.geocities.com/timessquare/battlefield/5500/ Requirements: 8 MB RAM, Registered version of Quake. Date: August 10, 1998 **Credits** QuakeC source code and new art by me, and id Software for making the best computer game ever. **Description** First beta version of Shambler Grenades. In this QuakeC patch, the grenades shot with the grenade launcher are replaced by... you guessed it... Shamblers! This is your chance to get revenge on the most dangerous monster of Quake! To use, simply get your grenade launcher as usual and... viola! Shambler grenades right at your fingertips! **Known bugs** 1) Shamblers, quite unlike grenades, look pretty stupid when they go through floors. I have no idea how to fix this, if you do please e-mail me. If you find any other bugs, please e-mail me and I'll try to fix them for the v1.0 release. **Installation** Unzip shambler_grenades.zip (this file, conback.lmp and progs.dat) into a subdirectory of Quake called 'Shambler' Make sure conback.lmp goes into the /gfx subdirectory, by using -d with PKZip or Use Folder Names with WinZip. To run in DOS, make sure you're in your Quake directory and type quake -game shambler. To run in Windows 95, go to Start, Run. Then type C:\quake\quake -game shambler. You should probably also add a -winmem parameter if you have some extra RAM. For example, C:\quake\quake -game shambler -winmem 12. **Notes** I am not in any way affiliated with id Software. They do not provide tech support on this patch, so don't ask them to, you'll look really stupid. You may freely distribute this file, upload it anywhere, laugh at it, tear it up... whatever. Fine with me.
