Title : Eraser Style Spike Bomb Filename : MFGRND10.ZIP Version : v1.0 Date : 9/11/97 Author : Fred Peterson (_Nuclear_) Email : nuclear@jpj.net Credits : Id Software for making such a cool game and making it so expandable. The movie Eraser for this cool spike bomb idea thingy. Build time: about 1 hour minus the bathroom and trips to frige and quick window flips to IRC to see what in the hell is going on and miscellaneous tweaking of the code here and there, so it averages out to about 45 minutes of pure coding(I tried making the thing launch 120 nails, but consistently got packet overflows, so I scratched that :) Type of Mod ----------- Quake C : yes Sound : no - but very easily implemented if wanted.. MDL : no - but very easily implemented if wanted.. Format of QuakeC (if a QC Mod) ----------------------------------- .qc files : no progs.dat : Of course - in the .pak file Demo Map : no MultiPlayer : Of course! Description of the Modification ------------------------------- Eraser came on, two and a half hours later I had this. WOW! Heh Just hit Impulse 6 two times in a row to get the spike grenade. Then vice versa for the normal grenade launcher. Uses the same ammuntion. Known bugs ---------- Uh. None, this was a cinch. How to Install the Modification ------------------------------- 1. Unzip the mfgrnd10.zip file into the desired directory. For example, C:\QUAKE\GRENADE 2. Then type the following at the command line: quake.exe -game grenade 3. Enjoy!
