Additional Credits to : SideShowBob for teaching me QuakeC way back in '96 ================================================================ * Play Information * Single Player : Kinda, the Grunts also fire stronger Cooperative : Same as above Deathmatch (2-16) : The patch is ment for this New Sounds : No --- New Graphics : No - Maybe I'll add these later New Music : No --- * Construction * Base : QC Source Editor(s) used : DOS Edit (tm) Known Bugs : None Build Time : 15-20 min * Install Instructions * 1) Get the QuakeC source at http://quakeclass.gamesnet.net/files/qc106pac.zip 2) Unzip the source into a random directory (i.e. C:\BALL) 3) Copy the weapons.qc included in this package into your directory (i.e. C:\BALL\weapons.qc) 4) In your directory, run the QCCWIN32 compiler included with the above package. The command like is "qccwin32" without quotes. (i.e. C:\BALL\qccwin32) 5) The compiled progs.dat will be in one directory above the directory where the .qc files are (i.e. progs.dat would be in C:\ one dir above C:\BALL) 6) Copy the progs.dat into a subdirectory of your Quake directory (i.e. C:\QUAKE\BALL) 7) Run Quake with the command line "quake -game dir" where "dir" is the directory where you copied the compiled progs.dat (i.e. quake -game ball) * Other Info * I made this patch after playing dm1, which doesnt have the Rocket Launcher, and seeing how much fun it is, to blow people away with ballistic weapons, as opposed to just rockets, as we are used to seeing. The patch basicly moves Quake into real life, one shotgun blast, point blank, with no armour, will kill you, no questions asked....The file is ment for servers, if you run one, and would like me to integrate the mod into your existing server patch/mod, E-Mail me, I'll be happy to help.
