Each of these is in the shape of a sigil, an ancient sacred artifact worshipped by the minions of Shub-Niggurath. The four standard sigils give the following powers: Double Damage - All damage dealt by the owner is doubled. Double Defense - All damage suffered by the owner is cut in half. Double Speed - The owner may fire their weapons twice as fast. Double Frags - Whenever the owner kills an opponent, they get two frags. The owner also lose two frags if he/she kills themselves. The last sigil is the Ultimate Sigil, often mistaken for antoher rune. This sigil is so incredibly powerful it can illuminate its surroundings, and the owner of it may deal an incredible amount of damage. If a player possesses a Quad Damage and the Ultimate Rune at once, he/she will be almost unstoppable. How to Install the Modification ------------------------------- Unzip the contents of sigil05b.zip into a new directory parallel to your ID1 directory name "sigil." At the command line, type "quake -game sigil +deathmatch 1" without the quotes. Pull down the console and type "map (the map you want to play on)." You can now play Sigil.
