1: Start a new image 64x64 in 16.77
million colors. (this texture will be very basic, just to show one of the making methods). |

2: fill area with main color you want. |

3: add noise, 10% uniform. |

4: Grey scale, then increase color depth to 16.77 million. |

5: add noise again at the same rates as before. |

6. Draw an outline of how you want your texture to be detailed in the same size (64x64). (my outline is very dark, but it's there). :) |

7. Take the texture you started and the outline, and run an Image Arithmetic, Function: Add. |

8. Load the palette you want the texture to be in. (in this case I chose the q2 palette. My finished product, though very simple, tiles very well, and could be used as a real texture. Though, since it is so simple I plan for it not to be used. |
