5/4/97 ================================================================ Title : X-wing Fighter with R2D2. Filename : R2-Xwing.zip Author : David Sawyer (was modified, as suggested, by me, Matt Tanner) Email Address :David Sawyer-sawyer@execpc.com Matt Tanner-dtanner@flash.net (My Dad's Email, but he won't care, hehe.) Description : A kickass X-wing fighter made by David Sawyer ("Ramirez"). This level was just edited by me, Matt Tanner, and I included some new QC entities, and changed some textures. I give full credit of the level to David Sawyer. I included Sawyer's text file for reference as well. Additional Credits to : All credit of level goes to David Sawyer; I just made my own R2D2 model (which sucks by the way), and another sucky computer control model in the cockpit. Thanks to Rene Post for QME and thanks to Ben Morris for Worldcraft!!! ================================================================ * Play Information * Single Player : Sure I guess. Marvel at the beautiful X-wing or the sucky R2D2 or control panel. Cooperative : Sure, if you're in to that sort of thing. Deathmatch : I don't think there are any deathmatch starts in it. Difficulty Settings : Not really. New Sounds : Nope New Graphics : Yeah, my sucky models (8-P New Music : No Demos Replaced : None. Zip. Nada. * Construction * Base : X-Wing fighter by David Sawyer Editor(s) used : Worldcraft, and QME (formerly known as QuakeME) for the new models. Known Bugs : Uhhh, my models suck (and that's about it.) Build Time : 1 Month off and on for R2D2(and it still sucks!), 2 nights for the new code and computer model, and I have no idea how long it took David Sawyer for the level, but however long it took, it was worth it. This level kicks ass! * Other Info * Hi, I'm Matt... and, uhh, I have a problem. I'm a Quake addict. I enjoy playing Quake, watching T.V., playing Quake, playing Quake, eating, shitting (no actually I hate having to take a shit.), playing Quake, sleeping, and uhhh, editing Quake (got ya' there). I actually spend an average amount of time playing Quake, when you think of guys that sit there and fit 9 out of 10 symptoms for that "You're a Quake addict if you...", vegetating, cross-eyed, and drooling. I also love Star Wars, and I think X-Wings kick ass! I just thought I'd release this little modification, so I could finally get that bugging thought out of my head. Feel free to, in fact please do, edit my R2D2 model, and that computer thingy, and if you think it isn't too horrible, go ahead and send it on back as an Email attachment, cuz I'd like to take a look at what cool things people can do with such limited resources (my models that is.) * Where to find this modification * Probably at ftp.cdrom.com and you could probably find the original X-wing level at The QuakeLab--http://www.in2nett.com/stevefu/quakelab
