3/04/97 ================================================================ Title : The Ruins of Athelstan Filename : qakula4.bsp Author : Timothy R. Jervis Email Address : kerrow@agt.net Misc. Author Info : Level Designer and Artist Creator of the Doom2 Goblin series Creator of the Quake levels:Tomb of Ra (Ra),Rameses (Ram), Gormenghast Castle (Gormen),Hall of Gorre (Gorre), Stargate (Stargate), Qakula's Castle (Qakula), Gormenghast Village (Qakula 2) Coming soon Qakula 3 (written for vquake) Patented inventor of The Water Pump (see Quake Lab - Tricks and Traps) Member of The Wheel of Time Quake TC team as level designer and structural engineer (www.abraxis.com/raven) Three of my levels have made it to The Best Deathmatch Levels page. Qakula has been there for months. Description : This map is different. The open sky is used to create two separate and unique landscapes. The one resembles a Rembrandt like landscape, relatively peaceful. The other is cold and foreboding. Between the two is a labrinth of dungeon like architecture, suitably inhabited. Explore at your peril. In addition to the necessary qualities of gameflow atmosphere and fun, I have endeavoured to introduce classical composition into the landscapes, producing what is, I hope, quake-art. Additional Credits to : Everybody at id. And to Ben Morris and Worldcraft. I can't thank these people enough for enabling intelligent design and creation with the tools they provide. Thanks go to the team at Wheel of Time Quake TC ================================================================ * Play Information * Single Player : Yes Cooperative : No Deathmatch : Yes Difficulty Settings : No New Sounds : No New Graphics : Yes, some from WOTQ (thanx); particular acknowledgment to that artist, Ludovic Texier (and Rembrandt and Voltaire...) To avoid lag in multi-play, keep to the low ground*. * Copyright / Permissions * You MAY distribute this bsp, provided you include this file, with no modifications.
