08/11/97 ================================================================ Title : The Lost Tech Center Filename : losttec.bsp & tecskill.bsp (used to select the skill level) Author : Richard Neff Email Address : rickneff@aol.com Description : Full Quake map. This level is designed for both single play and deathmatch play. I've FINALLY finished this level! After many posts on the DMM mailing list about people wanting to play tech-based levels, I decided to create one. I think you'll find that The Lost Tech Center is a pretty fair-sized map with some interesting structures, including the use of event_lightning. This level is also designed with speed in mind, so even with multiple players it should be a pretty fast playing level. Also of a personal note: The stairway in the level is actually designed based on the main stairway of the Marquette County Courthouse where my wife and I were married. Additional Thanks : My deathmatch partner & my wife: Deb Also to Alan Troup (aka: Necrosys) And Astaroth for playtesting. ================================================================ * Play Information * Single Player : Yes Cooperative : Yes - 6 Cooperative start points Deathmatch : Yes - 10 Deathmatch start points Difficulty Settings : Yes New Sounds : No New Graphics : Yes - Virtus.wad graphics New Music : No Demos Replaced : None * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Editor(s) used : Virtus Deathmatch Maker 1.1 Known Bugs : Cut_Node_Portal warning, if anyone compiles the .dmm file. You can also select the skill level from the console before loading losttec.bsp, if you like. Additionally, both .bsp files can be run from the command prompt by typing "quake map +losttec" or "quake map +tecskill". When running a Deathmatch game type "quake -listen +map losttec". Do NOT use the tecskill.bsp map since skill levels are not used in Deathmatch play. * Other Info * This level supports single player deathmatch, and cooperative play. It has been tested under single play and two-player LAN deathmatch. It is designed with different height levels for a more enjoyable game! * Copyright / Permissions * Authors may use this level as a base to build additional levels.
