================================================================ Title : Isis Filename : isis.bsp Author : Myrkul, aka Charles Kendrick Email Address : myrkul@myrkul.org Homepage : http://www.myrkul.org/ Description : Isis has large rooms and wide corridors but is not "large" in the sense of needing to cover large distances - you can get from anywhere on the map to anywhere else very quickly, and there are always multiple ways to do so. Isis is designed around providing excellent gameplay - to learn precisely what I mean by that, check out the Designer's Guide to Multiplayer Quake Gameplay at http://www.myrkul.org/qgame.html The general idea is that the terrain is interesting and useful in combat - there are things like areas with spaced barriers for use in combat. Corridors are never small enough that lack of space creates an "automatic hit". Weapons and ammo are plentiful to prevent hoarding; camping is dangerous because the level is so connected up - you never stop moving. Isis also has intricate lighting and I did some definite work on making it look good. Isis has CTF support, but will be a very different experience from typical CTF. Neither base has any built-in defense or sniping positions, players have to defend their base by sheer combat skill and group effectiveness. In addition, a flag capture can happen within 30 seconds, shorter if there is a grappling hook. * Play Information * Single Player : For viewing Cooperative : No Deathmatch : Yes, 5-10 recommended, although there is enough gear for 16+ Capture The Flag : Yes, CTF flag entities and team spawn points Difficulty Settings : No New Sounds : No New Graphics : No New Music : No Demos Replaced : No QuakeC Patches : No Compile : Extra light sampling, level 4 vis * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Editor(s) used : WorldCraft 1.0a Known Bugs : None Build Time : About 25 hours (never done a map before) * THIS LEVEL IS NOT MADE BY OR SUPPORTED BY id Software * REQUIRES REGISTERED VERSION OF QUAKE 1.01 or higher Copyright Notice: Copyright ©1997 by Charles Kendrick All rights reserved.
