They were separated by a lake of toxic sludge. Only the underwater tunnel allowed the two factions to travel from one side to the other and bring their destructive weapons with them. Things changed when a powerful earthquake destroyed their only means of travel. A few years of peace passed until one of the factions decided to build a viking-like sailing ship. They set sail for the other side, not knowing what was going to happen. The rest would be decided by fate. =========================================================================== -NOTE FROM AUTHOR- Hello there. This map is one of my thought up creations to make a strategic based war. It is really meant for teamplay, but can be played as a normal deathmatch. Its supports Deathmatch 1 and 2, CTF, and the upcoming DTOOLZ 2.0 relase of TeamTakeover. A few things should be noted about this map. First of all, this map will run terribly slow in GLQuake. I'd like to rant a bit here on this subject. I get 25-28 frames in normal Quake in 320x200 whereas GLQuake sputters around 5-6. I guess the open areas just can't be handled in this current version of GLQuake. Maybe when 8bit textures make it in, or that double rendering thing is removed, this map will be playable in it. I have optimized this map to the FULLEST in my knowledge. I am always open for suggestions though. If you can find some things in my map which would speed things up WITHOUT killing the structure of this map, I would like to hear from you. Next, you will notice lots of errors in this map at start. This is simply due to the fact that it supports CTF, DTOOLZ upcoming 2.0 release, and normal deathmatches all in one. Believe me, these messages are of no concern, and will not hamper gameplay. Finally, remember this map is mainly for teamplay. Play it like a real group of soldiers would. Help each other out, and suprise the others.
