================================================================ Title : The Climb Filename : climb.bsp---single player Author : Glenn Ancheta Email Address : itchykr@ix.netcom.com Description : Testing out some new things as far as architecture(ie.ramps, slopes, etc.) Lotsa ogres...because they're such resilient critters. Guess what...No shamblers this time! Bombs away! Additional Credits to : Romero, Carmack & all the wonderfully twisted minds at id software. Sto (Remco Stoffer) sto@pi.net for his Quake Tricks file. Cameron Newham for his SQEAM file Gregory Sanfeous Duncan (sangeous@mail.idt.net) for his "examp-1" file. My fave bands: BIG DRILL CAR, DOUGHBOYS, ALL/DESCENDENTS---for providing the background music for my insomnia & late-night level editing. ================================================================ * Play Information * Level Name : The Climb Single Player : Yes! Cooperative 2-4 Player : No. Deathmatch 1-4 Player : No. Difficulty Settings : Nope * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Build Time : Total constuction time was about 4 hours & I played around with entity placement on and off for about a day. Editor(s) used : QScript.95 by Tank Enterprises/William Bradely(a.k.a Sublime) basaidai@sprynet.com This excellent editor is great for cranking out levels FAST and features perhaps the most easily understood interface. (STILL one of the best!) I also dug into the map file with a plain old text editor. Known Bugs : You can actually run across the gap on the third level by running along the wall. The brushes look perfectly aligned, but must be off by a tad. I wanted to add more teleporters, but they were causing funky occurances. ================================================================ *I also did the "Ogres&Wizards"(qogrwiz.bsp) & "ArmyHell"(qarmyhel.bsp) hacks for the Qtest1 a while back. I know...whoopee-doo... *Also try, "The EvilPool"(evilpool.bsp), "The Ledge"(theledge.bsp), "Crossroad"(crosroad.bsp), & "Tightrope"(titerope.bsp)my other levels for registered QUAKE.
