Capture The Flag Player Skin Replacement "Crossdresser Proof" --------------------------------------------------------------------- Included files: player.mdl ctfskin.bmp pic39.gif pic40.gif Authors: Ryan Lacouture (changed color of it) id Software (they created it) Author e-mail: vallore@wt.net Author Home/Clan Page: http://web.wt.net/~vallore Description: This is a replacement for the standard Player skin. It replaces the shirt colors with the pants colors. No matter what color shirt your teammates/opponents are wearing, you will see them as if they had never changed their shirt color in the first place. Notes: I wasn't going to make this, because I thought someone else would have done it by now. I have seen only one other skin like this for CTF, it has color shifts and just looks like it was drawn with crayon in parts. I wanted a better one, so I said "WTF", and made it. This has no color shifts (shirt that is). Better yet, it looks like the standard quake guy wearing color "4 4" and "13 13", no noticeable difference. Pic39-40 are gifs of the same skin, but with a helmet, reminiscent of DOOM I & ][. It really isn't done yet (don't have the time), but if I get any email asking about it, I'll probably try to finish it up. I still haven't finished my Clan Skin yet. Bugs: Bugs? You funny in the head? Well just incase for some reason you can't use the player.mdl, I have included the "ctfskin.BMP" file for use with a MDL editor. Installation: Simply put the player.mdl file into the directory ?:\quake\ctfskin\progs\player.mdl, and load quake with "-game ctfskin" command and you are all set. To use the ctfskin.bmp you'll need a MDL utility like MedDLe 1.5 (THE BEST MDL EDITOR, IMHO) to apply it to the player model. Credits: TOM?(xanth@cyberatl.net) the author of the other CTF SKIN that trashed in notes, I didn't edit his skin or even use it as a basis, just motivation to do better. :P Lucas Pope(lupope@vt.edu) the author of the Storm Trooper Skin Replacement. I wrote over his TXT file for the Storm Trooper, I am lazy what can I say. * This ZIP file and it's contents MAY NOT be distributed in any way except * publicly and freely, so long as it is unaltered.
