The file '3wctf301.zip' contains some of the maps, gfx, and sounds that nutsack requires. You will have to copy pak0.pak from your ctf directory into the nutsack directory. 1) Unzip the zip file into a directory ( like c:\quake\nutsack ). 2) Copy pak0.pak from your ctf directory into the nutsack directory. 3) Run this patch with the nutsack game parameter ( c:\quake\quake -game nutsack ) * Content * Upon running nutsack, the demos will play in the following order. DEM Perspective Description -------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- intro - Manflayer lame ass intro DEM... idctf1 - Manflayer pigg-CTF 3.5 dm5 - Manflayer small demo of Me and Destruct vs. some reapers ctf5 - Manflayer pigg-CTF 3.5 dm6 - Mughi and Manflayer Man and Dest vs. reapers + Mughi's Dorm warz ctf2 - Destruct and Manflayer pigg-CTF 3.5 + SKYnet quotes in the original package i wanted to include our hipnotic demos as well. Since it is not legal to distribute hipnotic bsps in this package i will release them as seperate demos. The following demos have been released in single demo nutsack format. nutsh3m1.zip -- This is a really kick-ass demo on hip3m1! its got some really cool long range frags! nutshdm1.zip -- ( hipdm1 . not finished yet ) * Construction * Base : Countless megs of demos recorded by our group Tool(s) used : LMPC 2.9.32 - 3.0.0 ( for just about everything ) several hand-made tools for manipulating .DEM files ( Uwe is God ) linux 2.0.27 ( a hell of a lot faster than 95! ) Known Bugs : Occasional reaper color loss on dm6 ( fuck it ) Build Time : a bit here and a bit there Editing machine(s) : P133/32 MB RAM ( Linux 2.0.27 / NT4 SVR / 95b ) Micron P133/16 MB RAM ( Linux 2.0.27 / 95b ) * Copyright / Permissions * ( hopefully i haven't broken any copyrights already! ) oh yah, i'm not liable for anything or something... do what you will. i'm not your god. * Mindless Chatter * The modified CTF, contains a few changes. We put in the original QTEST sounds since they are way better than the quake sounds. The 'Aww Dammit' sound is played when somebody runs out of ammo with their currently selected weapon. Most of the CTF demos are recording using the real deathmatch 3. Where weapons are stagnant and items respawn. We fill that this is the best way to play since the less skilled players will be able to use something other than a freaking shotgun. Other features not used in these demos is some sysop controls for crashing players, moving players around teams, and so on. There is also some incomplete code for team captains ( the skins are a little different in these demos). Oh yah, and if anybody is in the OKC area or within driving distance email us! We have a weekly LAN gaming session. Averaging about 8 to 12 players a session. Every month we try and pull together 16+ players... We're always looking for some more quakers to kill.
