Message Exchange (MX) is open source software that provides store-and-forward routing and delivery of electronic mail messages. It can also provide mailing list and file distribution services. MX can be used to enhance local electronic mail (E-mail) support, and it can be used with several kinds of network protocols to provide a unified E-mail interface to different networks.
