Description

The dcecp control program is the primary DCE administration interface, providing remote access to routine DCE administrative functions from any DCE Version 1.1 (or later) platform.

The dcecp control program is built on a portable command language called the Tool Command Language (Tcl). Tcl allows the use of variables, if statements, list processing functions, loop functions and many other features commonly found in command languages. The control program extends these features providing a set of commands for manipulating specific DCEs. The control program also includes task scripts to help administrators perform some routine DCE management functions. Refer to the OSF DCE Administration Guide - Core Components for information about the basic concepts and features of dcecp. All of Tcl is included in the dcecp language.
