Project Lists

A principal's project list is a list of all the groups in which a principal or alias is a member. When a principal tries to access an object, the principal has the access rights that accrue from membership in every group that is named in the object's ACL. (See Using Access Control Lists for a description of ACLs.) For example, assume the ACL for file X contains two entries: one permits group A write access and one permits group B read access. Then, any principal who is a member of both groups A and B can read and write to file X.
