Default Container ACL Example

The following example shows how ACLs are initially assigned to containers created within containers.

Assume Container A has the following ACLs:

{group_obj crwxid}

{other_obj r}

Initial Container ACL

{user_obj crwxid}

{group_obj rw}

{other_obj r}

Initial Object ACL

{user_obj crwxid}

{group_obj r}

{other_obj r}

When Container B is created in Container A, it has the following default ACLs:

Object ACL (Container A's Initial Container ACL)

{user_obj crwxid}

{group_obj rw}

{other_obj r}

Initial Container ACL (Container A's Initial Container ACL)

{user_obj crwxid}

{group_obj rw}

{other_obj r}
