The two main functions of DAAD are to collect all possible information about the array controllers in the system and generate a list of detected problems. This data can then be saved to a file for analysis. In most cases, DAAD will provide enough information to initiate problem resolution immediately. DAAD consists of one (1) diskette: DRIVE ARRAY ADVANCED DIAGNOSTICS Enhancements: - Added reporting of future Computer Models automatically. - Added reporting of newer Primary CPU's (e.g. Intel Pentium II - 266MHz). - Added percent completed information next to the following logical drive status fields: "Blocks left to Rebuild:" "Blocks left to Expand: " but only if the logical drive is rebuilding or expanding. - Added support for the latest COMPAQ logo. - Added reporting of Sense Posted-Write Cache Status bits 10-12. - Added support to display the "Configuration Error" field. HOW TO USE: 1. Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette. 2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory. The file that is downloaded is an executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. You will be prompted to insert the formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskette. 4. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2. 5.
