Download the SoftPaq file and extract the package contents to a known location on your hard drive. Example: C:\swsetup\sp33397 2. Click Start, then click Run, and then type CMD in the Open box to open a Command window. 3. Navigate to the directory where the SoftPaq files were extracted. Example: cd c:\swsetup\spx33397 4. Insert the USB flash drive (drive key) that you want to use to create the bootable media and make a note of the drive letter that is assigned to it by Microsoft Windows. WARNING: Step 5 overwrites any existing data on the specified drive letter. 5. Create the bootable USB flash drive (drive key) by typing the following command: mkusb : 6. Close the Command window. 7. Use the Microsoft Windows "Safely Remove Hardware" utility in the system tray to remove the USB Flash Drive from the computer. Using this utility ensures that the drive is synchronized before removal. 8. Boot the HP Personal Workstation to the USB Flash Drive (drive key) that was created in Steps 1 through 7 to use the LSI Logic 3041E SAS RAID Firmware and BIOS Utility. 9. At the DOS prompt type `fls_sas.bat`. The updated script is executed and the new BIOS is installed.
