DESCRIPTION:  This SoftPaq creates a diskette for upgrading the System BIOS in the notebook 
models listed below.  The BIOS interfaces directly with the hardware of the computer.

FIXES:
 - Corrects a noise that can occur at system startup if the Touchpad is touched
   (the functionality of the notebook is not affected by this update).

HOW TO USE: 

1. Insert a blank, formatted 1.44-MB diskette in the diskette drive.

2. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive and change to
that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with a filename
based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.

4. From the download directory, execute MAKEBOOT and follow the on-screen instructions
to create the bootable diskette.

5. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the SoftPaq file downloaded in 
step 2.

6. Turn off the computer.

7. Place the newly created bootable diskette in Drive A: and turn on the computer. 
Follow the instructions on the screen to update the System BIOS.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE COMPUTER WHILE PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE!
