Uninstalling Procedures for Aztech modem MDP3858

There are several ways to remove the modem from you system.

1. Add/Remove Program

a. Go to Start/Settings/Control Panel/Add Remove Program

b. If your modem driver support removing the modem in Add/Remove 
   Program, you should see a MDP3858 PCI Modem.

c. Highlight the MDP3858 PCI Modem and click Add/Remove.

d. Modem will be uninstalled.

2. Deinstall Program

a. Go to Start/Run

b. In the Open box, type c:\Windows\Deinstal.exe

c. Deinstall program to remove the modem will run and follow the 
   instructions on screen.

3. Manual Removing

a. Go to Start/Settings/Control Panel/Modem

b. You will see your modem displayed.

c. Highlight the modem and click remove.

d. Close the Modem window.

e. Please refer to the model of you modem and follow the steps for 
   each model listed below. You must enable "Show All Files"
   capability in Windows before proceeding.

***Enabling "Show All Files"***

a. Open Windows Explorer.

b. For Win95, Go to View/Options/View

c. For Win98, Go to View/FolderOptions/View

d. Checked "Show All Files".

e. Click Ok.

f. Close Window Explorer.

For MDP3858-U

a. Go to Start/Find/Files or Folders

b. In the Named box, type *4002*.*

c. In the Look In box, type C:\Windows

d. Click Find Now.

e. You will find several files.

f. Delete all the files.

g. Restart system.

h. Windows will redetect the modem.

i. Insert the drivers for installation.

For MDP3858V-U

a. Go to Start/Find/Files or Folders

b. In the Named box, typed *4010*.*

c. In the Look In box, type C:\Windows

d. Click Find Now.

e. You will find several files.

f. Delete all the files.

g. Restart system.

h. Windows will redetect the modem.

i. Insert the drivers for installation.

For MDP3858SP-U

a. Go to Start/Find/Files or Folders

b. In the Named box, typed *4003*.*

c. In the Look In box, type C:\Windows

d. Click Find Now.

e. You will find several files.

f. Delete all the files.

g. Restart system.

h. Windows will redetect the modem.

i. Insert the drivers for installation.

a. Go to Start/Find/Files or Folders

b. In the Named box, typed *4005*.*

c. In the Look In box, type C:\Windows

d. Click Find Now.

e. You will find several files.

f. Delete all the files.

g. Restart system.

h. Windows will redetect the modem.

i. Insert the drivers for installation.

b. In the Named box, typed *4006*.*

c. In the Look In box, type C:\Windows

d. Click Find Now.

e. You will find several files.

f. Delete all the files.

g. Restart system.

h. Windows will redetect the modem.

i. Insert the drivers for installation.

b. In the Named box, typed *4009*.*

c. In the Look In box, type C:\Windows

d. Click Find Now.

e. You will find several files.

f. Delete all the files.

i. Insert the drivers for installation.
