I.	Overview

The following document provides details of the modifications and/or
enhancements made between the 2.0.0.05 and 4.0.2.04 firmware. This is
a new platform release for the QLogic SANbox 5200 switch product line.
In addition, this release supports all SANbox2 switch products. If
using the SANbox Manager fabric management application, you must use
SANbox Manager version 4.00.12.07, or later, in conjunction with this
firmware.

II.	Modifications and/or Enhancements

- This firmware adds support for the SANbox 5200 switch.
o	Stacking - Up to 4 switches can be stacked together to provide
a 64-port fabric without sacrificing 2Gb device ports or
	performance.
o	10Gb Ports - High bandwidth 10Gb ports provide a simple and
high performance ISL solution using stacking.
o	Port Licensing - SANbox 5200 switches may be ordered as an 8,
12, 16 or 20 port base configuration. The four 10Gb stacking
ports are only available when a 20 port based switch
configuration is ordered or via equivalent upgrades. At any
time, a license may be purchased to enable use of any unused
ports, in 4 port increments. For information regarding the
purchase of additional licenses, contact your approved reseller.

- Signed Images - For additional security, all firmware images are now
signed. Due to this added security, after upgrading to version 4.0,
downgrading to pre-4.0 firmware images can only be accomplished via
maintenance mode. For more information, refer to the README-118809-01
  file.

- VPF Removal - With the 4.0 release, VPF hard zone support has been
removed. This proprietary feature has been discontinued in favor of
standards-based. If the switch detects VPF zones, they will be
automatically converted to soft zones. If hard zones are still desired
the ACL zone type is supported.

- Fabric Device Management Interface (FDMI) - FDMI, per FC-GS-4,
provides the standardized Management Server command interface to
obtain device information from the fabric and allows end-devices to
register certain information with the fabric. This information can be
displayed via the command line interface "show fdmi <wwn>" command if
FDMI is enabled via the "set config switch" command.

- User Administration Security - To make user administration more
secure, execution of the following commands are now restricted to the
  admin user:
	user add
	user delete
	user edit
passwd <user> (a user can still change their own password)

- SNMP Disable - For security reasons, it is sometimes desirable to
disable SNMP access. To disable SNMP, set the "SnmpEnabled" parameter
to False via the command line interface "set setup snmp" command.

- New Firmware Version Names - Although the code base for SANbox 5200
and the SANbox2 series of switches is the same, they must be compiled
separately due to the processor difference in these switches. Due to
this difference, the firmware version names must change to clearly
  distinguish between the versions.
o	4.0.2.04.00_x86 is the 4.0 firmware image for the SANbox2 series
	of switches
o	4.0.2.04.00_mpc is the 4.0 firmware image for the SANbox 5200
	switch

- Note that all occurrences of "FC-SW-2" have been replaced by "Interop".

- User Authentication is now enabled by default mandating a valid
  username/password to enter the GUI.

- NTP Client Support - Allow switches to synchronize their time with a
centralized server. This feature is disabled by default. To enable,
set the NTPClientEnabled and NTPServerAddress parameters via the
  "set setup system" command.

- Temperature Warning and Failure ranges can no longer be set on the
switch. A user no longer has the ability to alter the port shutdown
  configuration parameter.

- There is now a single firmware image available on the switch. Therefore,
the CLIsh "fallback" command is no longer supported.

- A new command has been created in CLIsh called "firmware install" that
will FTP the firmware from a remote host, unpack the firmware, and
activate the firmware by resetting the switch.

- Extensive changes have been made to the event/error logging to make the
  logs more robust and readable.

III.	Bug Fixes

9040 - Your clish session will timeout in approximately 3 minutes when running
the "create support" command and allowing it to sit at the "ftp the
dump support file to another machine? (y/n)" prompt without answering
	the question.
