Select Topology Action
|
Click the drop-down menu to select one of the following topology function:
- View Archived Topologies - Displays a list of all archived topology snapshots.
- Archive Current Topology - Creates a snapshot of the current topology.

View
|
Click the drop-down menu to select one of three topological views:
- Graphical - System inventory items and connections are depicted by graphical icons.
- Tabular - System inventory items and connections are depicted in a table format.
- Interactive Applet - System inventory items and connections are depicted in a Java-based applet.

Tabular Topology View - Switch Connections
|
Run Link Test
|
Click to run a link test on any selected connections.
|
Switch
|
The switch at which the connection originates.
|
Switch Port
|
The switch port at which the connection originates.
|
Connection
|
How Switch Port is connected to To Port.
|
To Port
|
The unique port of the device/host.
|
Device/Host
|
Identifies the remote end of connection as a device or a host.
|
Tabular Topology View - Direct Attached Connections
|
Run Link Test
|
Click to run a link test on any selected connections.
|
Host
|
The host at which the connection originates.
|
Host Port
|
The host port at which the connection originates.
|
Connection
|
How Host Port is connected to Storage Port.
|
Storage Port
|
The unique port of the remote storage device.
|
Storage
|
Identifies the name of the storage device at the remote end of the connection.

Interactive Applet Topology View
|
Save Layout
|
Click to save arrangement as currently shown.
|
Graphics On/Off
|
If On, you get photographic view of the objects in the topology. If off, you get line drawing depictions of the objects.

Layout
|
Click to access the Layout buttons.
|
Horizontal/Vertical
|
Aligns the switches in horizontal or vertical arrangement.
|
Left -> Right
|
Click to arrange objects from left to right.
|
Top -> Down
|
Click to arrange objects from top to bottom.
|
Layout Wizard
|
Click to launch the Layout Wizard, which provides additional layout options.
|
Links On/Off
|
If On, selection boxes are activated on each link to provide detailed information about the link.
Note: If there is alarm associated with a link the selection box is always active for the link.
