About System Information
This tool provides a single source of information about your system
that is otherwise only available through various utilities and the
command-line interface.
The information displayed includes current data on your system's
host, hardware, software, memory, and network.
Host Information
- Host name
- Host ID
- Model Number
- Date and time of last reboot
- System date and time - If Date and Time is an active link on your screen, click this link to view or change your system's date, time, and effective time zone. If you make a change to the time zone, you must reboot your system for the change to take effect.
Note: If the Network Time Protocol (NTP) is detected on your system, you cannot change your system's date, time, or time zone. If NTP is not detected and you manually change the date, time, or time zone, you can adversely affect the performance of NTP.
Hardware
- Number of CPUs
- CPU - If your system uses multiple CPUs, select the CPU for which
you want to display the data. If your system uses one CPU,
"1" is displayed.
- Type of CPU
- Clock speed
- Percent of CPU in use
- Status (online or offline)
Software
- Name and version of operating system
Memory
- Physical memory (in MB)
- Virtual memory (in MB)
- Percent of virtual memory in use and amount available (in MB)
Network
- List of IPv4 and IPv6 addresses for your system.
