Sun MTP Servers

The Sun MTP Servers Screen displays operating system statistics about
all Server processes that constitute a Sun MTP system. Sun MTP consists of a number
of Servers, each with its own system process. The Sun MTP Servers Screen is meant to
identify all processes that belong to a particular Sun MTP system. When multiple
Sun MTP systems run on a single host, the processes have the same names. The
easiest way to identify which processes belong to which system is to connect to
the Sun MTP systems with Sun MTPScan and look at the Sun MTP Servers Screen. The data
presented on this Screen shows the exact impact of a Sun MTP system upon its host
machine.

The different kinds of Sun MTP Servers are ISC, Unikixmain, Print, Recovery,
Startq, TX, Trin, and Socket. There are usually multiple TX Servers for any
given Sun MTP system. The rest of the Servers should be solitary. The TN3270
Server does not appear on this Screen because the administrator invokes it
independently of Sun MTP. Depending on the application domain, a Sun MTP system
may or may not run the following Servers active: ISC, Trin, and Socket. This
Screen displays the following for each Server:

Name -> name of the system process
Type -> identifies the type of Server
Pid -> system process id for the Server process
Kernel CPU -> CPU utilization for system calls
User CPU -> CPU utilization for application code
