System (Summary)

DESCRIPTION
When a system is active, the "Sun MTP System" column specifies the name of
a Sun MTP system being monitored. Otherwise, the entry in the Summary Screen
explains why Sun MTPScan cannot attach to the system.

VALUES
Sun MTPScan obtains the "Sun MTP System" name from the Application Name field of
the System Initialization Table (SIT). This value is '<undefined>', if an
APPLICATION NAME does not exist in the SIT.

INTERPRETATION
The Application Name in the SIT is the CICS application name, normally used with
the ASSIGN command. However, if outbound Transaction Routing is configured for
this Sun MTP System, the "Sun MTP System" name will be the Netname for this system
as it is known to CICS systems.

CONCLUSIONS
The "Sun MTP System" name appears on the title bar of all Sun MTPScan Screens for a
given system. The name may also appear in the Label area of an icon when you
iconify a Sun MTPScan Screen. 'iconDecoration' is the X/Motif resource that controls
this behavior. The following line in your .xresources (or whatever file you use)
causes Motif to display both the icon image and the accompanying label for each
icon:

Mwm*iconDecoration: label image
