Interval (Semaphores)

DESCRIPTION
"Interval" is usually the same as, but not required to be, the Update Interval
for the screen.

VALUES
"Interval" is a quantity of time expressed in the following format: hh:mm:ss.
This datapoint is based on a Sun MTP system's Update Interval specified for
a Sun MTP system, but in actuality, the actual "Interval" used to compute the
datapoints on this Screen may differ slightly from the Update Interval.

INTERPRETATION
This is the time "Interval" used to compute the "Delta" datapoint in the
Semaphores Screen's KxScrolledList. In other words, the number of "Delta" waits
occurred within the last "Interval" seconds.

CONCLUSIONS
Setting the Sun MTP system's Update Interval (via the Preferences option through
the Overview Screen) to a small number, such as 2-5 seconds, makes the "Delta"
datapoint more meaningful at the expense of incurring system overhead from
Sun MTPScan itself. It is recommended to only increase the update frequency for the
time it takes to identify a potential semaphore problem.
