Star Wars: Battlefront II is an Xbox Live Aware title. Live Aware means that the game automatically signs you in to Xbox Live when you start the game.

Host a game

  1. On the Main screen, press the directional pad (D-pad) up or down to select Multiplayer, and then press the A button.
  2. On the Multiplayer screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Xbox Live, and then press the A button to view the Ready screen.
  3. On the Ready screen, press the A button to view the Xbox Live screen.
  4. On the Xbox Live screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Create Match, and then press the A button.

Create a match

When you create a match, you become the host player. Then, you can configure the properties for the match.
  1. On the Create Match screen, you can add or remove a planet and configure other game options that you want for your match. Press the D-pad up or down to select the following options, and then press the A button:
    • Add

    • Remove
      For more information about how to remove a planet to your match, see the "Remove a planet" section.
    • Options
      For more information about how to configure other options for your match, see the "Configure the match options" section.
  2. After you configure your options, press the B button to return to the Create Match screen.
  3. On the Create Match screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Launch, and then press the A button to wait for other players to join your game.

Add a planet

  1. After you select Add on the Create Match screen, you view the Planet screen. On the Planet screen, press the D-pad up or down to select one of the twenty-four planets, and then press the A button to view the Mode screen.
  2. On the Mode screen, press the D-pad up or down to select one of the seven planet options, and then press the A button to view the Era screen.
  3. On the Era screen, press the D-pad up or down to select one of the three options that are available, and then press the A button to return to the Create Match screen.

Remove a planet

  1. After you select Remove from the Create Match screen, you view the Playlist screen.
  2. On the Playlist screen, press the D-pad up or down to select the planet you want to remove, and then press the A button.
You return to the Create Match screen.

Configure the match options

  1. After you select Options on the Create Match screen, you view the Session Options screen.
  2. On the Session Options screen, press the D-pad up or down to select from the following options, and then press the A button to view the screen for that option.

    • Global
    • Host
    • Hero
    • Conquest
    • CTF
    • Hunt
    • Assault
Global
  1. On the Global Options screen, press the D-pad up or down to select from the following options, and then press the A button. Press the D-pad left or right to select the setting for the option.
    • AI Units Per Team: 0 - 16
    • AI Difficulty Level: Normal, Elite
  2. After you configure your options, press the B button to return to the Session Options screen.
Host
  1. On the Host Options screen, press the D-pad up or down to select from the following options, and then press the A button. Press the D-pad left or right to select the setting for the option.
    • Map Playlist: Play in order, Random Order
    • Dedicated Host: Off, On
    • Max Players: 2 - 4
    • Warm-up: 0 - 120 seconds by 5s
    • Voting Threshold: Disable: 0% - 75% by 5s
    • Team Damage: Off, On
    • Show Player Names: Off, On
    • Teams: Player Select, Auto Assign
    • Min Players to Start: 0 - 4
    • Public Game/Private Game
  2. After you configure your options, press the B button to return to the Session Options screen.

Hero

  1. On the Hero Options screen, press the D-pad up or down to select from the following options, and then press the A button. Press the D-pad left or right to select the setting for the option.
    • Heroes: Off, On
    • Unlock Hero: Points, Timer
    • Points: First to: 1 - 100 points / Timer: 1 - 120 seconds
    • Assign To: Best Player, Worst Player, Random Player
    • Timer: 1 - 120 seconds, Never
  2. After you configure your options, press the B button to return to the Session Options screen.

Conquest

  1. On the Conquest Options screen, press the D-pad up or down select from the following options, and then press the A button. Press the D-pad left or right to select the setting for the option.
    • AI Units Per Team: 0 - 16
    • Reinforcements: 10% - 100% by 10s
    • Timer: Off, On
  2. After you configure your options, press the B button to return to the Session Options screen.

CTF

  1. On the CTF Options screen, press the D-pad up or down to select from the following options, and then press the A button. Press the D-pad left or right to select the setting for the option.
    • AI Units Per Team: 0 - 16
    • CTF Score: 1 - 15
    • Timer: Off, On
  2. After you configure your options, press the B button to return to the Session Options screen.

Hunt

  1. On the Hunt Options screen, press the D-pad up or down to select from the following options, and then press the A button. Press the D-pad left or right to select the setting for the option.
    • Timer: 5 - 60 by 5s
    • Score Limit: 10 - 1000 by 10s
  2. After you configure your options, press the B button to return to the Session Options screen.

Assault

  1. On the Assault Options screen, press the D-pad up or down to select from the following options, and then press the A button. Press the D-pad left or right to select the setting for the option.
    • AI Units Per Team: 0 - 16
    • Score Limit: 10 - 1000 by 10s
  2. After you configure your options, press the B button to return to the Session Options screen.

Invite a Friend

  1. During gameplay, press the START button to view the Game Menu screen.
  2. On the Game Menu screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Friends, and then press the A button.
  3. On the Friends screen, press the D-pad up or down to select a Friend, and then press the A button to view the Individual Friend screen.
  4. On the Individual Friend screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Send Game Invite, and then press the A button to send a game invitation to your Friend.
