"PCLXL" Error Message When You Try to Print Address Cards on an HP LaserJet 4050 Printer with the PCL 6 Driver (310805)

When you try to print address cards from a Microsoft Windows 98-based computer to a Hewlett-Packard (HP) LaserJet 4050 printer that uses the PCL 6 printer driver, the following error message may appear:
PCLXL Error Subsystem: Kernel Error: Illegal Operator Sequence Operator: Echo Comment Position: 85
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, set the printer to use the LaserJet 4050 PostScript driver. To change the printer driver, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Printers.
- Right-click LaserJet 4050, and then click Properties.
- Click Advanced.
- In the Driver list, click LaserJet 4050 PostScript, and then click OK.
