PROBLEM: (88076, 87883) (PATCH ID: OSF520-103) ******** This patch resolves the following Event Manager issues: - Memory leaks occur in evmd when events with extended event names are posted, and when events are retrieved from the kernel corefile on the first restart following a system panic. - An event filter syntax error is reported when an event filter is used to search for events posted by a host with hyphen characters in its name. - evmwatch terminates immediately if the EVM daemon terminates, rather than continuing to run and reconnecting automatically when the daemon is restarted. PROBLEM: (86249, 90094) (PATCH ID: OSF520-159) ******** This patch fixes a situation in which certain errors reported through the binary error logger (binlog) are reported incorrectly by the Event Manager (EVM). The problem affects binlog events of type 113 (system console errors), which are incorrectly reported by EVM as "double error halt" events, and types 195 (StorageWorks Command Console events) and 197 (EMX fiber channel adaptor events), both of which are reported as unknown events. These problems are fixed by application of this patch. PROBLEM: (89264) (PATCH ID: OSF520-276) ******** In rare circumstances it is possible for an EVM posting client or the EVM daemon to core dump if an attempt to allocate memory fails. The problem is resolved by application of this patch.
