ECO KIT SUMMARY:

  This patch only applies to the mailsetup command installed with the IASS V4.2 
  IAFWSMTP420 subset.

  Symptom

    In IASS Version 4.2, forms were added to the IASS Administration utility 
    for configuring the SMTP server to use anti-Spam and LDAP features, but 
    the macros for these features were not added to the mailsetup script 
    installed by IASS. As a result, if you use the IASS Administration 
    utility to configure the SMTP server, after prompting for all the 
    required information, the mailsetup script displays this message: 

      Error creating /var/adm/sendmail/hostname.cf; exiting 

    The mailsetup script then fails to create a new configuration file 
    (sendmail.cf). 

  Installation Instructions 

    This patched mailsetup command should only be used with the IAFWSMTP420 
    (sendmail) subset of the IASS Version 4.2 kit. To install the patch, 
    follow these steps: 

    Check that you need the patched mailsetup command by entering the 
    following command:

      # ls -l  /usr/sbin/mailsetup
      rwxrwxrwx   1 root      system        40 Jan 13 12:43
      /usr/sbin/mailsetup->../../usr/opt/IAFW420/usr/sbin/mailsetup 

    If /usr/sbin/mailsetup is not a symbolic link to 
    ../../usr/opt/IAFW420/usr/sbin/mailsetup, then stop.  Either you have not 
    installed the IAFWSMTP420 (sendmail) subset of the IASS Version 4.2 kit, 
    or you have already patched the mailsetup command. 

    Change to a temporary directory in which to save the patched mailsetup 
    command:

     # cd tmpdir 


    Download the patched mailsetup command.   

    From the directory in which you saved the new patched mailsetup command,
    enter the following commands to put the patched mailsetup command in 
    place:

      # mv /usr/sbin/mailsetup /usr/sbin/mailsetup.IAF420
      # cp mailsetup /usr/sbin/mailsetup
      # chmod 755 /usr/sbin/mailsetup
      # chown bin.bin /usr/sbin/mailsetup
