An ECO kit exists for POLYCENTER Manager on NetView for Digital UNIX V4.1 on
Digital UNIX V3.2 through V3.2b. This kit addresses the following problems:

DECnet events and other open topology events very slow to display

DECnet events and other open topology events were very slow to display

improves the display speed of these events considerably.

ECO 01 for PNV V4.1 fixes this problem.

nvpagerd daemon would core with irregular domain names

nvpagerd would core dump when domain name was irregular
(did not contain any '.' characters).

ECO 01 for PNV V4.1 fixes this problem.

PNV graphing functions would display illegible graphs

When displaying a complex GIF file (with a large number of colors),
PNV graphing functions would display illegible graphs and
X Toolkit warning messages would be displayed in the xterm
from which the PNV GUI was started.

ECO 01 for PNV V4.1 fixes this problem.

INSTALLATION NOTES:

The kit consists of two setld subsets which are named PNVBASE01410 and
PNVCLIENT01410. The installation will only succeed if V4.1 of POLY-
CENTER Manager on NetView is already installed.

To extract this ECO kit, type the following commands:

#cd [directory where you want to store the kit]
        #tar xvf PNVECO01410.tar

Install this kit with the setld utility by logging into the
root account, and typing the following at the system prompt:

#setld -l [directory in which you extracted the kit]

The ECO kit checks to ensure that a valid license is installed before
proceeding. If one is not found, the installation aborts.
