ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO kit exists for RAID Array 310, 410, and HSZ40 on Windows NT
V3.51.
o This ECO will correct a registry problem on Windows NT V3.51
systems that was created as a result of installing the
HszDisk.sys V2.4 driver.
With RAID Array 310, 410, and HSZ40 controllers installed on single
or dual-host Windows NT 3.51 systems (Intel or Alpha servers) with
HszDisk.sys V2.4, a Services.exe application failure occurs when
the Devices applet is launched from Control Panel or when the
WNT Diagnostics/drivers application is started. The following
error will be displayed:
The instruction at "0x77f73408" referenced memory at
"0x00172000". The memory could not be "read".
Please refer to the readme file, REG_READ.TXT, included with this
ECO for more details.
INSTALLATION NOTES:
This kit contains PC based files in a self-extracting format.
Follow the steps below for using this kit:
1. Copy HZREGFIX.EXE to a temporary directory on your local
Windows NT V3.51 system.
2. Execute HZREGFIX.EXE (a self-extracting ZIP file). This will
expand the file into 3 individual files.
REG_AXP.EXE (for Alpha platforms)
REG_I386.EXE (for Intel platforms)
REG_READ.TXT
3. Read REG_READ.TXT for instructions on how to install the
appropriate program file for your platform.
