	Read This First New Hardware Delivery-5 for HP Tru64  UNIX Version 5.1A

Dear HP Tru64 UNIX Customer:
Thank you for your continued support of the HP Tru64 UNIX Operating
System software.  Please read this letter before installing or using
this product.  This is a release of new hardware for HP Tru64 UNIX and
HP TruCluster Server products, and is only supported on Version 5.1A.
What Is the New Hardware Delivery CD-ROM?  The purpose of the Tru64
UNIX New Hardware Delivery CD-ROM is to enable delivery of support for
new hardware without having to provide a new release of the operating
system.  This allows you to install new hardware without having to
update your operating system.  The New Hardware Delivery CD-ROM
provides only those modules necessary to support the new hardware,
thereby causing minimal incremental change to your operating system
environment.

Information About This CD-ROM

The HP Tru64 UNIX New Hardware Delivery-5 for V5.1A CD-ROM contains
support for the following hardware:

	* DA-57AAA-CA/-DA/-EA/-FA/ -CW/-DW/-EW/-FW: HP AlphaServer / HP AlphaStation DS25 systems
	* Tigon3 Gigabit Network Interface Adapter on DS25 motherboard
	* Recordable CD drives
	* 3X-KZPDC-BE/-DF: SmartArray RAID Controller (SA5302A/SA5304A) 
	  support for HP AlphaServer systems



Installation

HP Tru64 UNIX New Hardware Delivery-5 for V5.1A leverages
functionality inherent in the latest HP Tru64 UNIX Version 5.1A Patch
Kit.  For optimum performance as well as support from HP Customer
Services, you must install the most recent HP Version 5.1A Patch Kit
when you install the New Hardware Delivery product.  You can download
the latest Version 5.1A Patch Kit from
http://ftp1.support.compaq.com/public/unix/v5.1a/ and install it
either before or after you install the New Hardware Delivery CD-ROM.

HP Tru64 UNIX New Hardware Delivery-5 for V5.1A includes the Release
Notes and Installation Instructions in HTML, PDF, and PostScript (PS)
formats.  Please be sure to check the Tru64 UNIX Web site at
