- On a DECstation 2000/300,  the second com port (tty01) does not get
  configured.  An error message "ksh: /dev/tty01: cannot create"
  is displayed when the tty01 port is accessed.

- If communicating with a device with an extremely small receive fifo
  (for example, many xon/xoffs generated per "line" of data) random characters
  can be repeated.
