This manual provides instructions for installing and removing patches for the Tru64 UNIX operating system and the TruCluster Software Products. This manual also describes baselining techniques and provides other information for working with patches. For information about individual patches, see the Patch Summary and Release Notes document for the kit you are installing.
Note
DIGITAL UNIX is now called Tru64 UNIX. Although this manual uses the Tru64 UNIX name, all of the information herein applies to all versions of the operating system, including those that were originally released as DIGITAL UNIX.
The name of the TruCluster Software Products have also changed in different versions. The terms TruCluster Software Products and TCR are used throughout this manual to refer to all versions.
This manual is for the person who installs and removes patch kits and
for anyone who manages patches after they are installed.

This manual is organized as follows:

| Appendix A | Provides Tru64 UNIX system upgrade information. |
