The workaround described in the OpenVMS Alpha V7.3-1 Release Notes, Section 4.4.3 is no longer required. Previously, all devices of the same type were allocated when only one CDRW device was in use. The workaround described in the OpenVMS Alpha V7.3-1 Release Notes, Section 4.4.3 is no longer required. Page 3 The record speed and the process priority may now be specified on the command line. This fix also allows the customer to verify that a written CD-R media matches the source of the data copied. During the write operation, there is no guarantee that the data was written properly. Verifying the media causes all written data to be read back and checked. Page 5 7.1.3.6 Work-arounds: None. 8 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Install this kit with the POLYCENTER Software installation utility by logging into the SYSTEM account, and typing the following at the DCL prompt: PRODUCT INSTALL VMS731_CDRECORD /SOURCE=[location of Kit] The kit location may be a tape drive, CD, or a disk directory that contains the kit. Additional help on installing PCSI kits can be found by typing HELP PRODUCT INSTALL at the system prompt 8.1 Special Installation Instructions: 8.1.1 Scripting of Answers to Installation Questions During installation, this kit will ask and require user response to several questions.
