The driver will then be unable to touch its PCI registers and will go off-line. -- COVER LETTER -- Page 2 5 October 1998 6 PROBLEMS ADDRESSED IN ALPCPU1602_062 KIT o Add support for the DE500-BA adapter and the Gigabit Ethernet adapter. o The RACORE (Token Ring) adapter was never supported in V6.2. The supported adapter, Thomas Conrad (Token Ring adapter) is being phased out so this new adapter must be supported. 7 PROBLEMS ADDRESSED IN ALPCPU1601_062 KIT o The ALPCPU1601_071 remedial kit, which applied to V6.2* and V7.1 is being reissued as two single version kits. There are no new fixes in this kit. If you have installed the ALPCPU1601_071 remedial kit you do not need to install this kit. 8 PROBLEMS ADDRESSED IN ALPCPU1601_071 KIT FOR OPENVMS ALPHA V6.2* o Allow the use of mixed EV5 and EV6 CPUs on AlphaServer 4000/4100 systems. 9 KIT INSTALLATION RATING: The following kit installation rating, based upon current CLD information, is provided to serve as a guide to which customers should apply this remedial kit.
