PRODUCT: DECnet/SNA Ultrix 3270 Terminal Emulator

SOURCE: Digital Equipment Corporation

Kit Applies To: DECnet/SNA Ultrix 3270 Terminal Emulator V1.1
  System Reboot Required: NO

ECO KIT SUMMARY:

An ECO (patch) kit exists for DECnet/SNA ULTRIX 3270 Terminal Emulator
V1.1. This kit addresses the following problems:

o RISC Kit Qualified To Run On DECstation 5000, Ultrix V4.4

The RISC version of this ECO kit has been tested and qualified to run
on the DECstation 5000 running Ultrix V4.4. Testing on the DECstation
5000 was performed on 2 different model systems: CPU = R3000 and CPU
  = R4000.

o Terminal Authorization Identification Was Incorrect

The TE was not saving a valid terminal authorization identification
(eg.; ttyp1). This information was not properly saved, and was
  appearing as random characters.

o Cursor Gets Locked At Invalid Screen Positions

The cursor would not skip over protected alpha numeric fields when
entering data into the last byte position of an adjacent, unprotected
field. The keyboard would lock up and remain in the inhibit state.
The cursor now skips over both numeric and alpha numeric fields when
data is being entered into the last adjacent unprotected field
  position.

o Process Stays Alive After Controlling Terminal Is Lost

The Terminal Emulator ignored the system signal indicating that the
connection to the controlling terminal had been lost. This problem
has been fixed, and the process now terminates itself properly.
