ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO kit exists for SYSLOA executable images on OpenVMS VAX V7.1.
This kit addresses the following problems:
Problems Addressed in VAXSYSL02_071 Kit:
o Interrupt vectors are not set properly in Backplane
Interconnect-specific (BI-specific) System Control Block (SCB)
pages.
o A system crash, with a CPUSANITY or CPUSPINWAIT bugcheck, can
occur when the Interrupt Stack pointer is near or at a page
boundary. A system hang can also occur.
Problems Addressed in VAXSYSL01_071 Kit:
o "$ SET TIME" without a specific time has been known to cause
intermittent SS$_IVTIME (%SYSTEM-F-IVTIME, invalid time) errors
on VAX model 7000-600 multiprocessor (SMP) machines.
INSTALLATION NOTES:
The images in this kit will not take effect until the system is
rebooted.
IF qyou have other nodes in your OpenVMS cluster, they must also be
rebooted in order to make use of the new image. If it is not
possible or convenient to reboot the entire cluster at this time, a
rolling re-boot may be performed.
