NOTE: An OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file is stored
on the Internet in a self-expanding compressed file.
The name of the compressed file will be kit_name-dcx_vaxexe
for OpenVMS VAX or kit_name-dcx_axpexe for OpenVMS Alpha.
Once the file is copied to your system, it can be expanded
by typing RUN compressed_file. The resultant file will
be the OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file which
can be used to install the ECO.

ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO kit exists for VAX TDMS V1.9A on OpenVMS VAX V5.5-2 through V7.1.
This kit addresses the following problem:
o TDMS will always translate 2-digit-year input to the current
century on the system clock. At the turn of the century, ALL
2-digit-year dates will be processed as the 21st century.
This ECO provides a method of modifying the behavior of TDMS
enabling customers to control how 2-digit-year dates are
translated. This sliding window capability will be implemented
by the use of a logical name.
In consulting with customers, we believe this sliding window
feature will significantly decrease the burden on our customers
to insure correct application operation into the next millennium.
INSTALLATION NOTES:
The system does not need to be rebooted in order for the corrections
