       on the Internet in a self-expanding compressed file.
       The name of the compressed file will be kit_name-dcx_vaxexe
       for OpenVMS VAX or kit_name-dcx_axpexe for OpenVMS Alpha.
 
       Once the file is copied to your system, it can be expanded
       by typing RUN compressed_file.  The resultant file will
       be the OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file which
       can be used to install the ECO.

ECO KIT SUMMARY:

An ECO kit exists for Ada V3.5 on OpenVMS Alpha V6.2 through V7.2.  This
kit addresses the following problems: 

PROBLEMS ADDRESSED IN ADAAE02035:

  o     Compiler/ACS hang on Alpha EV6 systems.

  o     Corrected title page for "DEC Ada Technical Overview and Comparison
        on DIGITAL Platforms" manual.  Shipped online, in kit only.

  o     Threads created by a non-Ada subprogram could hang, due to 
        unexpected scheduling policies after Ada runtime initialization.  
        Runtime edit important to replace Ada runtime shipped by Compaq 
        Ada V3.5 on OpenVMS V7.2 systems.

  o     Ada runtime fala internal error, or "bad block address" error on
        OpenVMS V7.2 systems.

  o     Runtime error causing text_io usage to hang.

  o     DEC Ada to GNAT Report Mapper V1.1 (improved messages).

  o     Compiler/ACS hang on Alpha EV6 systems.

INSTALLATION NOTES:

Compaq Ada V3.5 for OpenVMS Alpha must be installed before installing
this kit. 

This kit only replaces changed files from the V3.5 release.

To install:

$ @SYS$UPDATE:VMSINSTAL ADAAE02035 

(OPTIONS N will give release notes before installation, as in regular
Compaq Ada installations.)
